Implications of poor performance

Implications of poor performance

When a processing plant isn’t performing well, there can be serious repercussions both for productivity and safety. Even a seemingly insignificant problem can create ripples of inefficiency across the plant, bringing huge cost implications in terms of wasted resources such as power and man hours. What’s more, the root cause of poor performance can quickly escalate into a situation that could spell danger for the immediate workforce and the surrounding area.

Valve performance and plant performance are two sides of the same coin. Since valves touch all major areas within a plant, when they don’t perform well it can quickly have a negative impact on tier-one assets. So it makes business sense to take proactive measures to keep valves functioning at their optimum level. Total valve management is central to enhanced plant performance: predictive and preventative maintenance strategies can have a direct impact on profitability, as well as maintaining health and safety standards.
