Severn Glocon’s engineering-led control and choke valve design and manufacture draws on intelligence repositories from the Severn Unival division. This ensures we produce more refined products with optimum operational life. 

Our core product range spans general purpose cast body products suitable for most processing industry requirements, the severe service 5,000 series, power industry valves and a renowned cryogenic cold box and actuator range.

We can create bespoke products for specific jobs using single stage to multistage trims manufactured from high-tech materials. And our valve/trim combinations are based on in-depth knowledge of application requirements. This approach ensures the final product is engineered to address requirements with a solution that is neither over nor under specified.

Severn Glocon valve and actuator designs are supported by both laboratory testing and field-proven trials. This ensures that we continue to meet exacting international standards such as ASME, API, ANSI, JIS, TUV, BS EN, ISO, PER/PED, ATEX, NORSOK, GOST, STOOMWEZEN & INDIAN BOILER REGULATIONS.

Series 1000 - General purpose control valves, this simple design provides rugged reliability, is cost effective and easily maintained. The set range is supplied in either carbon or stainless steel with a screwed in seat and single stage trim options.

Series 2000 - Split body globe and angle pattern control valves designed for ease of maintenance and rugged reliability in erosive and abrasive services in the chemical and process industries. Available in carbon steel, stainless steel and a variety of nickel alloys.

Series 3000 - Cryogenic extended body (cold box), offset port service control valves, designed to ensure the degree of cleanliness required for the industrial gas market and custom manufactured in barstock or forged materials such as aluminium and stainless steel.

Series 4000 - Cryogenic all welded extended body (cold box) service control valves, custom manufactured in stainless steel and suitable for LNG, cryogenic hydrocarbon and air separation plants.

Series 5000 - Multi-purpose globe, angle and three way valves. Single and multiple concentric cage trims available for higher pressure drop applications for prevention of cavitation and noise reduction. Multi labyrinth trims also available for severe service conditions. Materials as per series 2000.

Series 5500 Choke Valve - Custom design for severe service or non-standard applications. Angle pattern, single & multi-stage trim designs to suit high & low pressure differentials.

Series 6000 - A range of PTFE lined and plastic globe valves for corrosive service. Cast Y-pattern is also available.

Series 7000 - Ultra high-purity and sterile globe valves for use in the production and distribution of high-purity gases primarily in the semi conductor industry. Manufactured in forged 316L stainless steel and assembled and tested in-house under clean room conditions.

Series 8000 - High performance wafer and lugged pattern butterfly valves. Suitable for both high cycle on-off and modulating duty. Carbon steel, stainless steel and other material upon request. Cryogenic applications also available.

Series 9000 - Full bore, reduced bore and V.Ball valves in carbon steel and stainless steel, other materials upon request. Suitable for higher CV requirements with a high turndown capability of 250:1.

Series W, Diaphragm Actuators - These spring-opposed pneumatically operated actuators are designed to satisfy the majority of general control valve applications. The series is particularly suited to areas where high risk is present. Available in three basic sizes that can be combined with different spring ranges. Pre-compression bench set is available across the range of fitted springs.

Series N, Piston Actuators - Pneumatic double acting actuators complete with integral positioner that can be set to provide a pneumatic spring function for closing fail safe position. These high powered actuating units are capable of providing much larger thrusts than similar size spring-diaphragm actuators due to the higher air pressures used.

Series P, Piston Actuators - Pneumatic double acting spring return actuators available in four sizes with standard and long stroke versions. Output thrusts of up to 20,000 lbf and up to 60,000 lbf through special designs. All units are field reversible without the use of additional parts.

Other Products - Lime slurry valves, lethal service valves, rotary actuators and an extensive range of positioners and other field mounted accessories to compliment all of the above products.
