Severn Glocon Group is providing innovative technology to support the increasing international demand for renewable energy production. 

We have a strategic alliance with RXPE - a specialist in the manufacture and development of equipment that ‘cleans’ and prepares/synchronises electricity generated from renewable sources before it enters the grid.

This ensures the electricity is safer and more efficient to transmit and distribute.

The four key technologies we supply are:

• Statcoms (static var compensators and static var generators)

• Harmonic filters

• Power inverters (mainly for solar energy)

• Solid state isolators and transfer switches

RXPE is a world leader in this field, with over 1,200 statcoms installed across China, Africa and Europe. The scalability of the equipment means it can be used cost effectively for large, industrial wind farms or tidal projects as well as much smaller applications. Projects range from £150k to £100m.

Britain alone is legally bound by an EU treaty to source 20% of its energy from renewables by 2020. It also has its own target to generate 40% of electrical energy from renewables in the same timeframe.
