Repair Intelligence Circle™

Enhanced repair logic is central to Severn Unival’s offering, and it is a major factor in our industry reputation for intelligence and innovation.

For decades we have collected and collated data from valves in use in the oil & gas, petrochemical and power generation industries to create our pioneering Repair Intelligence library. This provides us with a rich knowledge bank, holding information surrounding the changing conditions of valves which operate in high-octane situations.

Analysing data surrounding factors such as valve wear, cavitation, hysteresis, erosion, corrosion and altered operational settings allows us to establish trends and predict performance.

This makes it easier to evaluate and predict the need for preventative maintenance, ensuring that plant work-lists can be prioritised so potential problems are dealt with in good time, before they impact on performance and profitability.

When failure does happen, we are able to review and quickly pinpoint underlying causes. This knowledge is overlaid with records of revised component designs, along with assessments of their improvements and long term performance, to focus and augment the decision making process surrounding the response.

We complete the cycle by using the intelligence gained from valves’ previous performance to inform development and specification, both for repairs and new valve design and manufacture.
