New Area Manager For Severn Glocon Saudi Arabia and Bahrain 11th November 2010

Shazi Sheikh has joined Severn Glocon as area manager for Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, spearheading sales development with major customers including Saudi Aramco, as well as identifying new applications for Severn Glocon's portfolio of control valves & control valve solutions.

Having worked for BOC for many years, heading up the UK team for BOC’s medical gas portfolio, Shazi also held the role of national training manager looking after the Cryospeed, Industrial gas and BOC Lifeline teams. His subsequent experience working in Qatar as the sales & marketing manager for an industrial gas plant and specialty gas facility has allowed him to develop the specific skills and cultural awareness necessary to work in the Middle East.

Given Severn Glocon’s strong presence of technical services personnel in the Middle East region, Shazi's role will also involve coordinated visits to the key oil and gas fields to address any valve upgrade, retrofit and specialist repair work opportunities.
