Severn Glocon Wins Block 31 Order for BP in Angola 3rd November 2010
The Severn Glocon Group plc has been awarded a frame agreement to supply all control valves for the Block 31 FPSO project for BP in Angola.
Shipping for the order, which comprises more than 450 globe and angle control valves ranging in bore size from 1-30 inches, has commenced and will conclude by the end of this year. The valves are being manufactured at Severn Glocon state-of-the-art OEM facilities in the UK and Chennai, India.
Block 31 is the largest offshore platform for BP in Angola and the first of three FPSOs for the Block 18-31 sector.
“The announcement follows a strongly competitive tendering process and was awarded to Severn Glocon for our demonstrable technical ability and experience, as well as competitive pricing,” commented director of sales, Ron Baker.
