Severn Glocon Wins Petrofac Valve Contract 18th May 2011

Severn Glocon has been awarded a fast track contract to supply forty eight control valves by Petrofac E&C Sdn Bhd in Malaysia for the Berantai project.

Petrofac leads the development of the Berantai field for PETRONAS. The project is an offshore green-field development located offshore Peninsular Malaysia and comprises offshore in-field infrastructure, currently consisting of a Wellhead Platform (WHP) and adjacent Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) facility linked by subsea flowlines with gas export via a new subsea pipeline to a third party platform.

The contract will be managed by Severn Glocon India in Chennai for valves which range from 1 inch 300# to 14 inch 2500# in size. The valves will be designed and manufactured across both the Chennai and Gloucester facilities along with some outsourced butterfly and gate valves.

The Severn Glocon Group plc has just been awarded a prestigious Queen's Award for Enterprise in the International Trade category, which recognises outstanding achievement by UK businesses and reflects the Group’s rapid international expansion.
