Severn Unival celebrates new North Sea contracts 22nd February 2010

Severn Unival has been awarded total valve management contracts for four of TAQA’s newly acquired North Sea oil platforms. The Abu Dhabi national energy firm recently bought the platforms – Tern, Eider, North Cormorant and Cormorant Alpha – from Shell, and needed a team of experts to manage the valve population unsupervised. Having previously held the contracts with Shell, Severn Unival was able to put forward a strong case based on our knowledge of the platforms and expertise. The contract award covers the complete management of all control, safety and isolation valves on each platform, including engineering solutions, repair, maintenance, certification and procurement. We will now take full responsibility for every valve on each of the four platforms to ensure they continue to run to optimum efficiency. The Severn Unival team in Aberdeen is also celebrating the extension of its Shell North Sea contract for a further 12 months. Severn Unival has already held the Sigma 3 valve contract for eight years, proving the superior level of service we are able to offer is beyond comparison.
